Nautical Steampunk- Mixed Media Monday

What goes better than anything with Steampunk, Water !!! Oh I am so thrilled to share the creations I have been working on lately. These stamps from Oxford Impressions THE DEEP really float my boat!!
Here's the altered box painted to look like wood. I just Love the periscope I made from some hose fittings and rubber tubing!
Some close ups of the Captain , I made the ships wheel from a washer and pearl ended pins painted gold. If you look really close you can see a fish swimming past the porthole!
Wonder whats in the barrel under lock and key? A map rolled into a bottle sits in storage. Of course the gears that keep everything moving!
A creature from the deep done on acetate and real sea shells and coral in the background.
I hope you enjoyed my little Ocean Voyage. You can find these stamps at Oxford Impressions

I am only sharing one project today but if your into Steampunk and Nautical I think your going to Love all my samples in the near future. I've also entered this for the Mixed Media Monday where your to use borrowed things.
I entered this in a challenge at Sandys Space

SQUEE miniatures! The colors and textures are SO dead-on. I really love it. The size and arrangement of the compartments reminds me of (this is really strange, I know) the set from Legends of the Hidden Temple on Nickelodeon in the 90's. The rooms were all different like this and it was set up so the audience could see in like this, diorama style. I *love* it!
